NOVITANE ® MONOFILAMENT REINFORCED FOOD GRADE CONVEYOR BELTING This line of NOVITANE Food Grade conveyor belting is reinforced with an all polyester single ply fabric utilizing multifilament polyester warp yarns to provide the belt with longitudinal flexibility, while the monofilament polyester weft yarns provide the belt with transverse rigidity enabling it to lay flat, and enhance its longitudinal tear resistance. The cast polyurethane saturated polyester fabric provides a low coefficient of friction on the bottom surface making it ideal for slider bed conveyor applications. The polyester based NOVITANE polyurethane is specially formulated to meet the requirements of the FDA and has the approval of the USDA for direct food contact use in meat and poultry plants. The .045 inch thick 85 durometer polyurethane cover has been formulated to provide excellent resistance to abrasion, oils, fats, grease and cleaning solutions in addition to having excellent cut and tear resistance. Our unique heat weld system enables this belt construction to be quickly and easily spliced endless after the belt has been installed, significantly reducing maintenance costs and production downtime. The polyester based NOVITANE polyurethane cover is specially formulated to meet the requirements of the FDA and has the approval of the USDA for direct food contact use in meat and poultry plants. In addition, it has excellent cut and tear resistance required in deboning, dicing and other meat processing service applications. NOVITANE ® KEVLAR CORD REINFORCED FOOD GRADE CONVEYOR BELTING A uniquely designed conveyor belt construction utilizing Kevlar cords as longitudinal tensile members. Spaced on 1/2 inch centers, the Kevlar cords limit the belt's elongation to less than 1% at the belt's recommended working tension. The Kevlar cords are embedded in polyurethane eliminating the possibility of ply separation and contamination due to grayed fabric edges commonly found in conventional multiple ply or solid woven carcass conveyor belting.
